Hello,
My name is Laura; I am an inclusive, licensed marriage officiant and life celebrant registered in the province of Ontario.
I primarily serve South Georgian Bay, Simcoe County and York Region. However, if requested, I am happy to travel outside these districts for ceremonies.
I love, love and recognize and respect all religions and spiritual paths. It is a privilege to perform weddings and life ceremonies for everyone, regardless of faith, culture, gender, or sexual orientation. After all, love is love!
In addition to being a licensed wedding officiant and life celebrant, I hold a full-time leadership role at a national health charity. This work keeps me grounded in compassion, purpose, and the power of human connection—values I carry into every ceremony I create.
Passion has guided my life and allowed me to spend the better part of seven years travelling the world, being fortunate to spend long periods living and working in South-East Asia and Africa. I have always been drawn to different cultures and traditions and consider myself a lifelong learner.
From an educational standpoint, I hold an Honours bachelor's degree (distinction) and a master's degree from Carleton University's School of Public Policy and Administration.
The Universal Love Project exists to facilitate ceremonies rooted in love. I strongly believe love is the universal force and the only way to reconciliation, unity, and peace.
Being inclusive in my practice is key, and I aim to ensure that every ceremony is geared toward the request of my clients while also ensuring it's a safe space, with each ceremony treated with love and care.
In my spare time, you can find me travelling, in a hammock with a good book, in deep conversations with friends, or spending quality time with my life partner and our red toy poodle, Chlo.
